Milk Crates

MDF

The intention was to replicate your garden variety milk crate from medium-density fibreboard.
Due to the accuracy and investment required, I began by constructing a template using recycled corrugated cardboard. Paper was so tangible, personal and immediate. Hence, the MDF version was never made.

'Milk Crate IV' (2004), shown above, was later used as the maquette for 'Court' (2005).
